Wheaton Arts Parade (WAP) is pleased to announce that local artists will not have to wait much longer for a gallery in Wheaton where they can exhibit and sell their original artwork. It has taken almost 2 years for WAP to find a new location and raise the funds to secure a suitable retail space to exhibit art. But art is about to blossom again in Wheaton.
The new gallery is located 11325 Georgia Ave right below the intersection with University Blvd. The large windows face west and the 2000 sq ft are filled with light. The wall space will offer unobstructed views of art and the gallery is large enough for receptions, art workshops, and musical performances.

As with all previous WAP galleries, artists will receive 90% of the revenue on the sale of their artwork and WAP will call upon artist volunteers to help staff the gallery. Artists will be able to work on their art while helping to operate the gallery and also will receive nominal compensation for their time.
WAP will be inviting artists and the community to visit the gallery space for a reception prior to publishing a Call to Artists for a two-month exhibition to begin in April. Look for the invitation in an upcoming newsletter and on our social media: @wheatonartsparade
The gallery is supported in part by the generosity of Leonard & Richard Greenberg and a grant from the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County.

The WHEATON ARTS PARADE mission is to bring the community together with art, to support local artists and to celebrate Wheaton’s diverse cultures.
