Wheaton Traffic Box Art Project
Thanks to a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council's "Public Art Across Maryland" program to Peijisan Art there will be Traffic Box Art coming to Wheaton, Maryland.
Peijisan Art is collaborating with Wheaton Arts Parade to plan and manage this project. All Artists/Designers who live or work in Montgomery County, MD are invited to submit their qualifications to create a digital design for one of two traffic boxes in the Wheaton Urban District.
Deadline to submit qualifications: Friday, November 15, 2024 at 11:59 PM.
Four Semi-Finalists will be selected to receive a commission of $500 to prepare a design. These designs will be shared with the public for their input and ranking. A selection committee will consider the community's preferences and choose two winning designs. The winning artists will receive an additional commission of $500 to edit and finalize their design.
Requirements:
1. Resume or biography not to exceed 2 pages
2. 5-10 examples of graphic design artwork that best represent the kind of design the applicant would like to create for the project.
