The 5th Wheaton Arts Parade & Festival was the first to take place in the heart of the Wheaton Triangle in and around the Marian Fryer Plaza. The weather was perfect. More than 15 large floats were pulled in the parade. 50 artists sold their work at tents in the festival. There were three stages of continuous entertainment and a Beer Garden. Video by Ed Murtaugh.

2020
When the COVID pandemic prevented the 4th annual Wheaton Arts Parade & Festival, WAP brought art to the streets and sidewalks of Wheaton where it could be appreciated safely during a 2-week installation called "The Path of Pyramids." The annual festival became a virtual fest streamed via Facebook live. The poster contest was won by Alyson Sanchez from Albert. Einstein High School.

2019
In its third year, the parade grew to more than 500 participants and the festival to more than 70 tents of artists and three stages of entertainment. The summer workshop created a walrus float and a community mosaic was unveiled. The poster design contest was won by Daniela Schuping of Winston Churchill High School.

2018
Rain did not damped spirits for second annual Wheaton Arts Parade & Festival. More schools, more artists, and more performers joined the parade and festivities. The summer workshops created a giant dragon float. The poster design contest was won by Chris Ma from Richard Montgomery High School.

2017
The inaugural Wheaton Arts Parade & Festival brought a dream to life on a sunny September Sunday as dozens of artists, community organization, schools, and residents paraded art and performed as they marched toward the community festival at Veterans Urban Park. The poster design contest was won by Garret Golz from Winston Churchill High School.
